Where to Buy Wu-Yi Tea
Hey all, back again. Todays post I’m going to sort of point you in the direction of where to get this stuff =p Some of the comments I’ve seen have been asking this question. Also, when I have the time I’ll try to make that more clear on this blog some how. Maybe I’ll add another page or category as what I currently have may not be helping you.
What I am currently drinking right now is the Royal Tieguanyin. I had orignally drank the royal quilan oolong tea but unfortunately the company doesn’t offer that tea anymore. The company I buy from is called Generation Tea. I’ve had a very positive experience with this company and they are an established and respected tea supplier.
Just recently I came across Easy Weight Loss Tea, providing convenient tea bags. Suggested by a reader who has been using this company, I’m now going to give them a try. Over the past couple months I have been using tea bags more often because they’re fast, easy, and do taste great. The mornings can get hectic getting ready for work at times and during the day at work it’s easy to prepare a cup whenever you want. I also notice that in the long run Easy Weight Loss Tea’s price is cheaper than what I’m paying for tea bags now at Generation Tea. I’ll be able to give a full opinion once I receive my order. I’ve also suggested in one post that those who have been on the fence and are not sure if they’ll like the taste of tea to give Easy Weight Loss Tea a try taking advantage of their free trial offer. That way you won’t spend too much money if you find that you don’t have a taste for tea =p
One thing to keep in mind when visiting Generation Tea. Wu-Yi tea is the popular name for Oolong tea. They are the same thing. The name wu-yi comes from the mountain where the oolong tea originates from. So when you get to Generation Tea, just check out the Oolong Tea section.
Also, tonight I’ve taken the time to reply to all the comments over the past couple weeks. Again my apologies for the late replies. When I started this blog it was more for fun than anything else and I didn’t expect it to really get much traffic. I appreciate the comments and I’ll do my best to answer your questions as intelligently and with as much information that I can.
One last thing, here are a few tea suggestions, these are teas that I have actually used. Every couple months I tend to buy one of these for variety. Tieguanyin Gold, Dark Roast Tieguanyin, Noble Beauty Tea-Lan Gui Ren , and Mitaoxiang Fenghuang Dancong (Dragon Phoenix). The Dragon phoenix is the most expensive tea so I usually only get that every couple months or so, but if you can afford it, check it out, the taste is amazing! Just check out the descriptions at the site for each of the teas. The others listed on the site I’m sure are excellent as well, but the ones I mentioned are the only ones I can speak from experience on.

Vancouver, BC.
Also, do you work for Gen-TEA?

February 14th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Hi purrsia,
I’m not familiar of where to buy this directly in Canada. You shouldn’t have any problems ordering online though at Generation Tea. I also recently posted about ordering a free trial from Easy Weight Loss Tea ( http://www.wuyitearesults.com/wuyi/free_trial ) which might be another option for you online as well.
And no, I do not work for gen tea. I’m starting to think I should though because I’m starting to field some questions for them =p
February 14th, 2008 at 6:22 pm
Hi amber,
For me yes, this stuff really works. As I read elsewhere and even from people who have left testimonials here from their experience, it works.
As for the free trial, yes you can get some. One of my recent posts was about free trials and you can get one from here… http://www.wuyitearesults.com/wuyi/free_trial
I think getting a free trial is great, but in my opinion it would be more for trying it to see if you actually enjoy drinking it and decide to give it a go to lose weight. Nothing works overnight including this tea. I think with this free trial you actually get like a months supply. In that time you should see weight loss as I did. That should help you decide whether or not to stay with this in your daily diet.
As for sending you some, send me $100 and I’ll ship it right out. Just kidding =p I am not a supplier, I just drink the tea myself. Sorry but can’t help ya out with that one.

So if this tea is all natural herbs would it be SAFE for teens to drink to shed a couple of pounds too,or no?
February 15th, 2008 at 6:47 pm
Hi Bernie,
Good question, again not speaking with any authority here, but in my opinion I wouldn’t see any safety concerns based on the fact that it is a natural drink as you pointed out. In my reading I have not come across any sites or content that specifically document any concerns related to teens. On that note I haven’t seen any negative effects in one way or another listed for anyone.

hi! I’m taking a ginko biloba every other day…just wanna ask if it’s safe to drink the tea and taking the biloba also…
February 19th, 2008 at 3:15 am
I’ve been wondering, can you add sugar and cream like in other teas, or do you have to drink it plain?
February 20th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
Hi, It sounds like a great idea but my issue is how does it taste? I drink plain green tea. I used to drink black tea but now I don’t like it anymore.

Hey Dan,
I just ordered my free trial today and I am excited to get started. I clicked on the link for the Rougui Wuyi Wulong Oolong above at the generation tea website and it said it could not be found. It doesn’t appear that they offer that tea anymore. Do you think they changed the name and when you buy it as whole leaves how long does the 2 oz. bag last?
Thanks,
Sherry
February 23rd, 2008 at 4:02 am
I used your link for the Rougui Wuyi Wulong Oolong and the website says Product Not Found! Does this mean they’ve discontinued the tea? What other tea should I try?
Thanks.
February 27th, 2008 at 7:36 am
As for getting it in Canada.
I clicked on the link above that Dan gave,
http://www.wuyitearesults.com/wuyi/free_trial
and it took me to the same site I had already been
directed to from and email I was sent.
In the email this was at the bottom….

Hi Kelly,
I would say you could probably add anything that suits your fancy, but from my experience I wouldn’t add anything. I think with these particular teas it would detract from the taste, but again that probably boils down to preference.
February 28th, 2008 at 6:01 am
Hi Donna,
I just found this out and am very disappointed. I was really starting to like this tea too. Unfortunately this tea is no longer available at the moment. What I am ordering next is the Tieguanyin Gold, or if you’re looking to save a dollar or two more the alternative is the Royal Tieguanyin. I have used both of these before and they are very good. ( http://www.wuyitearesults.com/wuyi/tieguanyin_gold )
February 28th, 2008 at 6:08 am
Hi Sheryl,
Well, I haven’t really tried black tea before and I’ve only ever had the green tea from places like WaWa and Royal Farm Stores so I don’t think I can compare wuyi and green tea fairly lol.
But I love the wuyi, or oolong as you may know it. To be honest there are quite a few flavors and tastes you can create with oolong depending upon how you prepare it, temperature of the water, how long, etc… You’ll experience flowery tastes, to spicy, robust, roasted, and others…
I just came across a free trial you can give a go at if you just wanted to sample for taste. http://www.wuyitearesults.com/wuyi/free_trial

where can i purchase wu - yi tea in brisbane australia
March 3rd, 2008 at 5:45 pm
Hey Sandra,
I am only assuming that the companies I mention here on my blog also ship to Australia as well as other countries. Because they have online sales I imagine they do, but it’s probably only a matter of emailing them if the info isn’t on the site directly.
March 3rd, 2008 at 6:01 pm
well sandra,if your having problems finding it hard to find the tea you can try ebay cuz you can probably find a hella of a lot cheaper from some of syores that aution it off or just someone some that is trying to get rid of extra tea… i’m glad your trying it and i hope you stick like i’ve decided to and maybe we can share results soon..good luck to you on finding the tea and your weight loss goal!!

Hi Anna, I’m not familiar with teavana, but if it’s oolong tea like you say then yes, oolong tea is the most ideal for weight loss.
March 11th, 2008 at 1:01 am
Hey susy, I would imagine that since these companies offer online sales they ship just about anywhere. I would maybe send them an email to verify.

My father is actually from the Philipines, nice to meet you. I’ve had a few questions about where to get this tea in other countries. As far as I know you can order from the same sites I do. I have not seen any info from either site that lists countries they do not ship to.

March 31st, 2008 at 12:25 pm
Dan, I am confused a bit - why go through the Wu-Yi company to buy the tea if it can be bought elsewhere under different names?
Thanks for all the great information you have provided.
April 1st, 2008 at 1:41 am
Hi Wendy,
Just to point out again for some clarity, wu-yi tea is a common name for oolong tea which is probably more known to us. The name wu-yi originates from where this particular oolong tea is harvested, that being Mt. Wuyi Shan in china.
As for your question, where you buy is really preference. If you have found a different company to buy wu-yi/oolong and choose to go there, go for it I say. The two companies that I am buying from i do so because I’ve done a bit of research on them and have closely looked at various personal testimonials.
The companies I mention here on my blog I have personal experience with through testing and using the products and having success. I have actually purchased other tea at various places and did not feel confident in mentioning the company or suggesting their products.
My personal preference for this blog is to only comment on and share experience with readers on things I personally believe in and go through. So unless I have tried a product or have some other personal knowledge of it, you won’t see it mentioned in my blog.
I will however comment on topics or products that readers might suggest. Even then I will make sure to point out it is a reader suggestion and not from my personal experience.
The bottom line really is this blog is intended to share my personal experience with a product that actually helped me get results and what exactly it did for me. By sharing it’s my intention to simply help provide a bit more personal information and experience to those who may have an interest in this tea. Sometimes it’s difficult to sort through all the hype of commercials and all that stuff. So it’s nice once in a while to see a more personal take on things.
April 1st, 2008 at 1:51 am
Hi Nikki,
Valid concern! I actually had the same concern to a degree. Since starting the tea I’ve done a bit more research into everything surrounding wu-yi tea. This includes the claims of scams and all that jazz.
I was curious and concerned at first, but as I looked at more and more sites, reviews, and then saw many independent and personal testimonials that were very positive, I got a better picture of the whole thing.
You’ll notice that there are quite a few comments here from readers who have had great success drinking the tea from the free trial and generation tea also. I see these types of comments all around the net, so in my mind, even if there are scam artists out there, obviously people are having great results.
As for the claims of scams, after looking at many of the sites, it looks to me that it boils down to the age old competition wars between the companies selling tea. I saw a hubpage site not long ago talking about it being a scam where at the same time the author has ebay and amazon ads selling it. Then you have other websites where people seem to be blasting one wu-yi site and seeming to be promoting another.
So, it’s a matter of just sorting through all the bull I guess. Don’t get the impression that I’m trying to sell you on the sites that i mention. Anything you see on my blog is going to be from personal experience and should only be meant to help you determine for yourself whether or not it’s something you want to try yourself.
The whole weight loss industry is full of scams and big talk. Do your research like you are and be safe before you just take anyone’s word for anything, even mine =p Although my word is gold, but I’m biased =p
